Beach Bay Engagement Session

If you have never heard about it, “blue hour” is that brief moment after the sun sets before the sky turns completely dark. Although being called blue hour, it lasts about 10-15 minutes only… confusing, I know. After booking a session, I always recommend starting 45 minutes before the sun actually sets so that we can have both golden hour and blue hour during our session.

I am sure you have heard that the sunsets in the Cayman Islands are unreal, and this evening did not disappoint! Soft blue skies, golden light, light breeze and an incredible beach located in Beach Bay, Bodden Town. It is days like these why I became a photographer.

This location combines stunning backdrops with incredible lighting, which makes it an amazing choice when booking your session. Whether you are having an engagement or family session, Beach Bay is incredibly versatile (and big enough!), making it one of the best beaches in Grand Cayman.

This time I had the honor of photographing Christo and Annalisa. Their goal was to capture their engagement in an intimate, passionate and romantic way. There is something so special about those 15 minutes of blue light shortly after the sun dips below the horizon. It can quickly turn a fun and playful session into a soulful one.

Despite their actual engagement happening a few days prior to our session abroad, the excitement was still in the air as soon as the session began. While I love directing and being able to tell your love story, I also love when clients write the story themselves, and Annalisa and Christo did exactly that! They are so in love with each other that I was simply there to document it and ensure their engagement photos were a true representation of their relationship.
