Garden Location for your Engagement in Grand Cayman for a Taylor Swift inspired Day

You have seen the photos, I have seen the photos, EVERYONE has seen the photos!!

Unless you have been living under a rock (or don’t really follow pop culture), you are aware that your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married. That’s exactly how Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce decided to announce their engagement along with a a set of 5 photos from the special moment.

If you have not seen the photos yet, you can see them all here. Now, this is not a gossip blog and I am not here to talk about ther ring, their history or whatever else news outlets are coming up with to generate clicks. However, I am a photographer after all so I want to give you an incredible location in the Cayman Islands that will give you a similar aesthetic. Whether you are getting engaged, are already engaged or you are simply a Swiftie that wants some Taylor Swift inspired photos, I am here to point you in the right direction.

First of all, let’s talk a little about the photo above. A beautiful lush garden adorned by several flowers that are not only there for the decoration, but also serve as a natural way of drawing your attention towards them as it frames them perfectly centered in the image. While the Cayman Islands are a lot more tropical than Taylor and Travis’ location, there is one venue that can help you achieve a similar look.

The Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park in Northside is open to visitors from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM every day of the week (pro tip:they are also the only place in Grand Cayman where you can find the local blue iguana). These botanical gardens offer a variety of scenic backdrops for your engagement session.

Not too long ago, I had the privilege of documenting one of the most beautiful surprise proposals. Daniel reached out to me to me seeking help planning his engagement, and after hearing their story and the details of how they met (in England, at a botanical park!!) I knew this would be the perfect location.

We decided that I would play the role of a tour guide and pick them up at the port where they were arriving since they were visiting via a cruise ship. After dropping them off, they planned to spend an hour walking around, exploring the park and what it had to offer before strategically finishing at the Floral Colour Garden where Daniel planned to propose.

While I thoroughly enjoy beach photo sessions in Seven Mile Beach, I have to say, this one made me fall in love with garden locations. Their love on full display as they cried, jumped and screamed with excitement moved me in more than one way and I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to document this special moment.

If these photos inspire you and you would like to document your love story in this beautiful location, send me a message here!
