The Caribbean Club Family Session in Grand Cayman

AHHHHHHHHHH the sunset was so beautiful this day!!!

There’s not a single day when I shoot that I am not in awe of the sunsets in Grand Cayman; truly a work of art every single time. Mitch’s family chose the perfect evening for their family session while vacationing at the Caribbean Club in Seven Mile Beach.

I have spoken about this location with other photographers in Grand Cayman and I always mention that it is a tricky beach because of where the sun sets in relation to the subject. But I love a challenge, specially when I know photos can turn out the way they did for this family.

The evening started with a nice golden glow that very subtly highlighted the family from the clear blue beaches of Seven Mile Beach. After having learned that this family had 3 little ones, my goal for this session was to be as entertaining as possible. Let’s be honest here… family sessions can be super boring for the kiddos so it is crucial that the session feels like a fun family activity. We want the kids to be happy and have fun because in a few years after growing up, I want them to remember the fun memories they had with mom and dad. This is how I approach family sessions.
