Portrait Session at Spotts Beach, Grand Cayman

This is a throwback to last year, but it is up until now one of my favorite portrait sessions ever!

I met Mili through the Miss Universe Cayman pageant contest in 2024. She was one of the contestants at the time and we had a brief opportunity to work together on a very short session with the other participants.

Mili and I set up this session and planned to shoot at Spotts Beach in Grand Cayman because of its differences to other beaches. While most beaches in the Cayman Islands are calm and full of white sand, this location offers a bit of a different scene with its rocky foundations and slightly more active waves.

I will say, you need a bit of luck sometimes with this location because the tide can sometimes hide the area pictured below where it’s rocky. However, if you do get a chance to have your photos taken here, it will not disappoint.

Mili wanted to add photos to her portfolio and to show off her posing abilities (after all, she made it pretty far on the pageant contest!). She wanted the photos to feel personal, strong and confident.

We made sure to use every aspect and interesting spots this beach has to offer. From the rocky parts, to the sand, to the peaking sunset through the trees, this place easily made it into my top 10 places to have photoshoots.
